Abstract

Self-medication is part of society's efforts to maintain their own health. Self-medication is performed to treat minor illnesses. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of knowledge levels on self-medication behavior. The sample used in this study consisted of 128 respondents who visited Probiotik Pharmacy for self-medication. The method used in this study is quantitative with data collection through questionnaires. The analysis used is simple regression. The research results reveal that the t-value for the knowledge level variable (X) is 20.568 with a significant value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Therefore, the hypothesis is accepted. The contribution of the knowledge level variable (X) to the change in self-medication behavior variable (Y) is 77.1%. In conclusion, this research shows that there is an influence of knowledge level on self-medication behavior in patients who purchase medicine at Probiotik Pharmacy.
